That's right, so if you're fine with washing around the eyes then it's alright. They just tell you to avoid around that area cause it might get into your eyes which will make your eyes sting badly so you should be careful. Because your eyes are sensitive. You should read more labels...there are some pretty funny ones out there...like ';Don't iron your shirt while wearing it.';
Because it will sting your eyes, I had some in my eyes before. And to clean your eyes just rinse with water.
